DIVA-5 is a Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in adults, available in many languages worldwide.
The DIVA Foundation aims to lower the threshold for proper diagnostic assessment of ADHD in adults worldwide, with the help of many colleagues and at the lowest possible costs.
DIVA-5 is the successor to DIVA 2.0, the semi-structured Diagnostic Interview for Adult ADHD, and is based on the criteria for ADHD in DSM-5.
DIVA-5 asks about the presence of ADHD symptoms in adulthood as well as childhood, the chronicity of these symptoms, and significant lifetime impairments due to these symptoms.
DIVA-5 has been adjusted for children, age 5-17 (Young DIVA-5) and for people with Intellectual Disability (DIVA-5 ID).
DIVA was first developed in Dutch. As the need for a readily available, semi-structured, diagnostic instrument for research and clinical assessment became apparent, translations into other languages were requested. These translations have been completed and the number of available languages is growing monthly. Professionals in psychiatry worldwide have increasing access to the interview.
